I feel it's a bit dangerous to talk about these guitars based solely on the way they look, because to me (Staggs, Turser-types, the shitty Hohner JT-whatever at least) these guitars are all unplayable crap.

I have a crappy tom delonge squier strat which I dont use anymore, but the neck is really nice and I am thinking of using it on a project eventually. Shitty tuners but a big 70's style headstock. I could put it on one of these budget offset things if they are 25.5 scale :)
Standard scale. I planned to fit a Squier Strat neck myself if the guitar turned out to be chaff but the neck is decent.

Some of them are i agree, but i do set ups anyway and they are basically budget Strats which is'nt exactly a difficult set up. I've played expensive vintage guitars way worse than the Wesley i bought.

well, yes. but then you really don't know until you play them, which I haven't really done. that holden looks like it would be crappy but the sea foam/mint guard/aged covers looks super cool. if I got that I would just swap the neck out for something playable.

I feel pretty comfortable with the fernandes, they have a bit of a cult following which is a good sign. also, I really like that it is essentially a strat with a different shape body. it gives you tons of options for upgrading it.

they had one of those in the shop i got my mustang from. it had been fitted with the sustainer unit and priced up at around £250.

£250 is still reasonable, them sustainers are over £100 im sure. Always wanted to try one of them. the Edge used one on 'with or without you' and it sounds like a synth line more than guitar.

i've always wanted to try one too. steve hackett uses one instead of an ebow. very nice sound, i love the upper octave sustain.

Just to join the triumvirate, I too would like a go on a sustainer - there was a Lee Ranaldo endorsed Fernandes that had one, too.

That looks nice, i would prefer a normal wooden neck on it though. Reminds me of a guitar played by Matt Bellamy.
