I love my Strat's too, the one Mike gave me is fucking awesome, just need to change the pickups in it I think to some p90's :). I have massive love for the offset/shortscale family of guitars though. I really wish I still had my CIJ Jaguar and my Jag-Stang to be honest.

Ok, seriously, they call that a tremelo system?

This fucking thing is probably getting TREMBLOCKED.

I just got back from a bit of a vacation, where i played the strat only. Still feels pretty good, but the trem is just out of the question. Jag/JM is 1000000% more stable, precise, and smoother to use.

VERDICT: It's no 50's classic telecaster, that's for sure.

I love the strat trem, but if I were to buy one of these I think I would upgrade it, probably to a Wilkinson VS100.

dude, it doesn't go back into tune! Maybe it's the quality of the particular parts in this strat...

However, I've played about five trillion strats, and none of the trems ever worked right.

do you have the trem set-up floating or "dive only"? you should get an GFS big block trem.

SLightly floating, just a mm or so between the bridge and the body.

Took me a while to learn to set up a strat trem properly, but I quite liked it once I did. Still flogged it and bought a Jazzmaster, mind.

My highway one goes out of tune but i cant be bothered to set the trem up, seems pointless as its not a Floyd Rose.

My Jagmaster used to never go out of tune, but now it does. I think that the last time I changed strings I may have rushed it and taken for granted that it would be fine.

There's fuck all wrong with my divebombs, right? Seriously though, I used to try to make it go out of tune by holding it by the trem arm and throwing it about the place. It was the most violent use I could imagine, and it still held tune perfectly.

My strat trem just works perfectly, it's amazing. I love the way that thing is setup. I might flog it though to buy Fran's Mustang. I know I'd just miss it though haha.

I believe a tremsetter powerfully ensures that the trem springs return to their original position, returning the strings to their original pitch. Strat trems can land flat of their original position with many set-ups.

The trade-off I found with a tremsetter-equipped Strat was that the trem was a BASTARD to use. I've heard others say "ah it just stiffens it up a tad" so maybe I just wasn't expecting it.
