yep. The jazzblaster doesn't have the seperate control plate. Hence no line and the screws not being so close together.

dude, if Fender came to you and was like, "we'd like to make a HVM sig Mustang," I bet you wouldn't tell them to GTFO.
you know retards are exhausting right ? don't act like you know me you don't
ah, name-calling, that's cool. how dare I form an opinion based on information you've shared about yourself on this forum.

sorry, I just think the "sellout" thing is a bit tired. Why don't artists and musicians deserve to earn a decent living for what they do? they're probably not getting any money for this at all. They only benefit from the promotion and getting cool guitars.

hmmm, I dunno, I'm really not familiar enough with how these signature guitar deals go down. but I would think that simply the promotion is the main form of payment. essentially it's free advertising. there's even a plug for their new album on the page for the guitars.

I'm sure the bigger artist you are the more you get paid. But why the hell would Eric Clapton and Jimmy Page need promotion? They get paid when they sell their various sigs, believe it.

As does Steve Vai and Satch when they sell those boatloads of Ibanez guitars.

and EVH who goes from company to company, probably getting better deals each time.

I think releasing an album through fucking Starbucks was worse.

They like customised guitars, they like fenders... seems like a no brainer.
Ugly though.

likely, but it will be interesting to see how fender modded them.

i'm thinking avri due to the trem arm opening and 7.25 neck, but the picture is too small to tell.

I would imagine they have changed nothing and just added that prose to get around people dissing them.

Or they just added 1meg pots.

New Jazzmasters is pretty big news around here because this is a forum about guitars.
Anything involving Sonic Youth is very a polarizing issue because this is a forum about guitars.
fair enough, i do see your point

and he'd be like, nah bro, lets fucking get high and have some beers and talk about pussy, and i'd be like COME ON BITCH, and then he'd start crying.

I'd love to get a HVM sig mustang. These I'm not that crazy about, though I do think it was about time they jumped on the jazzblaster wagon. There is an appeal to them but Ill stick to my Serviceman Jazzblaster.

Would be interesting to know how much imput/say SY had in the design parts, esp the 'revoiced' jazzblaster pups.
Reading up on the J Mascis sig it seems he had a fair amount of imput.

Will people stop thinking they are anything but the same RI WRHBs please? In your entire experience as a Fender customer, does anything they have ever done lead you to expect they have really changed a pickup they have tons of backstock from from selling the Telecaster Deluxe/Thinline/Custom guitars?

Did they bung the weak jag/jm pups in the new mexican classic players? Nope, so maybe they are going to be different in these too.

Meh, I guess I'm more inclined to think they'll use the same shit that is the Factory. it's not like anyone is going to be able to hear it under all that self oscillation backwards fuzz
