Pshaw... I'd just do the wilshire for $220 free shipping and free case. At that price I wouldn't be too afraid to try refinishing it a more exciting color especially with all the refinishing experience I'm getting form this damn Teisco.

Well the frankensonic had components from 4 different guitars in it... I'm sure I could hack the wilshire into some sort of monster. At least get some green pearl and crazy tonal options on there.

personally i think its the headstock that ruins it. Looks so cheap and tacky.

+1 word. Those 3 a side headstocks only work on les pauls, sgs, 335 etc.

I ebayed some project parts I had lying around and called MF. I asked about the additional discount and the girl stalled and put me on hold. When she came back she said she could give me an additional 12% discount on the $249.00 sale price. So, for $219.11 I got the Wilshire with new Epi hardshell case and free shipping. I'd been eyeing them for awhile so I appreciate you posting it.

Come to think of it, I don't remember the one I played having that ugly headstock....did they make it with a batwing too? I could have sworn it had a batwing.

of course I could've been so thrown off by the hideous color that I forgot what the headstock looked like.
