I agree, as I was one of them. Loved how they looked, but I think the reissue stuff all plays pretty horribly.Kestrel wrote: It never ceases to amaze me how people are quick to judge an instrument based on it's looks rather than how it plays and how it sounds.

i kind of agree with isaac here. . . the debate is well old and really doesn't belong in the info forums anywhere near as often as it comes up. it's almost to the point where i want to post a sticky to that effect. wanna yack about it? the pub is just a click or two away.
as to this guitar, i think it's just meh looking, but i've always been more into dano effects than their guitars anyway.

I don't know if we should have the full on debate because it is so tedious but maybe some of us who just can't stomach these products anymore can ignore any thread with Dano stuff.timhulio wrote:Nah disagreed. People love to talk about their gear as much as they play it

i do it all the time. if something looks like a child's drawing of a guitar, why would i care what it sounds like? it could be the best playing/sounding guitar on earth, i still wouldn't buy one.Kestrel wrote:It never ceases to amaze me how people are quick to judge an instrument based on it's looks rather than how it plays and how it sounds.
I like them too, in concept...the 90's reissues (I own a DC-12, my girlfriend owns a Dano Convertible, and I used to have a baritone U2) were great guitars for the money, and just in general even.Kestrel wrote:Don't knock 'em until you try 'em. Their brushed metal parts, fake aged paintjobs and pickguards, and model reissue inaccuracies put me off them. Also they hate the gays

that's what i'm talking about: the tedium of it. everybody's entitled to their opinions about anything, but having gay marriage constantly come up in a guitar info section just gets old. hopefully that d-bag sells the company soon, so we can just get back to admiring the cool things dano does with its gear.jcyphe wrote:I don't know if we should have the full on debate because it is so tedious but maybe some of us who just can't stomach these products anymore can ignore any thread with Dano stuff.timhulio wrote:Nah disagreed.
