James, just found an orange tortex pick in the bedroom.

Feels good to me... so 50 on orange please.

Can you stretch to yellow, Owen? I don't know how much thicker they feel. If yellows aren't your bag, baby, then maybe someone else will go for some orange. I think if we can get within 50 for a colour we can probably go for it and have spares.

More than just a minimum of 200 per colour, each colour needs to be in exact multiples of 200. So we're likely looking at 200 for purple, blue and yellow and 400 green.

Yeh, it's gonna have to be orange...

I found both yellow & orange at home, and orange feels good, maybe even a tad on the heavy side. Yellow is far too stiff for me.

If it doesn't work out it doesn't work out... no biggy ;)

We're pretty close to being able to make an order. Just because the blues are at 200 doesn't mean you shouldn't try and get some. If someone else goes for blues I will too, otherwise I'll probably go for purple and green.

OH LOOK AT STEWART BEING A KNOB

In all seriousness let's see where we are in a few days and go from there, I'm happy to chip in for more picks, I'd be happy to give a chunk to my bass player and he's always cadging mine. Plus I'm thinking of throwing them in with pedals when I ship them out, so I'll happily throw another £24 for another 100 or maybe more spread around the sizes to fill it out.

$65.70 = £40.22 for 200 picks.

I would be happy to do that, so if there is another 100 of floats that need picking up to round the totals off I will take them.

Do we have someone in the US who is willing to put the order through?

It needs to be someone who is not only willing to stump up the readies, and get money from everyone else, but also distribute the picks in a timely manner after we get them. It makes sense for them to just ship all the UK picks to one of us to do the UK shipments though.

I'm happy with receiving and distrubuting the UK batch. If it was almost entirely UK orders I'd go direct with Dunlop myself but it makes a lot more sense for someone over there to do it in terms of being able to contact Dunlop easier and for lower shipping costs.
$65.70 x 5 = $328.50
Initial Logo die charge: $50.00
Second side print: $10.00 (per 1000 picks)

= $388.50

If we estimate combined shipping (shipping from Dunlop (not sure if they charge that) then shipping to individual US members, shipping for the UK batch and then individual UK shipping) at $40(too low/high?) that's $430 for 1000.
I think the only sensible thing to do is money up front. If 50 picks does work out to £12/$20 I'm much more comfortable with individuals putting that money down with a 4-5 week wait for the picks than someone being out $430 and having to bust balls to get the money. And for the convenience of everyone involved we'll need a payment deadline. If we're waiting on someone to pay then the wait before we order extends the wait between payment and picks for everyone else.
