any opinions on the squier vintage mod. jazz bass?

I'd be worried about it coming off, and it seems tacky somehow. Like, when Behringer made that that mixer that had a tube in it. The tube wasn't running at a high enough voltage to light up, but they knew people would complain if it didn't, so they put an LED behind it.

It did no harm, and certainly didn't cut any corners, but it seems seedy or something.

the Squier Vintage Mod Jazz Bass is excellent. I'd recommend it to anyone who wants a reliable bass to play without paying an arm and a leg. It sounds great, has damn good playability. my only gripes with it are the painted on blocks and binding and the weird finish on the neck.
I love mine.
