it means they come without covers, and you use your existing one. it should fit underneath.

Actually the noob is right. QPs are designed to be used without a cover. The other SD pups for Jag don't come with a cover or claw but they tell you that. If you check their product page the "does not use cover" is a direct quote for the QP. When I got my set way back I got confused by this and dropped them an email and it's true, they're designed to be coverless. If they were intended to go under the covers they would have sized the bobbins to fit.

I still jammed the old covers/claws on mine tho cos it looks better.
