you should not usually have to pay return shipping if it is a mess up by the maker.

I just thought about it as I got an email saying they’ve posted the replacement, and haven’t mentioned me returning the first pickup. Maybe they’ll send something along with the replacement.

that's what they did in my case. there should be a return label in the box.
