I like the Jazz bass, and I love the fact that the thumb rest is on the correct side for once, but still wonder why it's there when the pickup cover is present. Most of the American stuff looks good, but will probably be in a higher price range than I will be looking in anytime soon. The squier teles look pretty cool.

the bass players back in the day used there thumbs and had that 'rest' for the remaining fingers.

The joke sort of does work. Stevie Wonder wears ridiculously colourful clothing. This signature Dick Dale guitar is ridiculously colourful. It's fair to assume that it was Dick Dale who decided the colours on this guitar, so a joke can be made about him designing Stevie Wonder's wardrobe, just, it's not a very funny joke.

Unless Stevie Wonder designs his own wardrobe, in which case it doesn't make any sense.

i think mike's point is a joke needing that much explanation is one that missed the target. know your audience and all that. . .

I dunno, a Stevie Wonder joke to a board of musicians seems pretty reasonable... he was one of the more influential musicians of the past couple decades.

Thinline Deluxe, Black Dove Deluxe (P90s) and Tremolo Deluxe have been around for a while, they're not new. PGS demo'd them back in July.

Not a huge fan of the deluxe's pickguards but my dream tele would have a strat shaped headstock
as well as a p90 in the neck

you're right, that pickguard looks perfect on a white tele. The ones previously pictured just sucked the potential out of my mind for that shape.

I loev it too - in fact, it's my favourite pickguard shape. I also prefer big pickguard SGs and reverse body Firebirds, and nobody likes those.

<3 everything about this tele. Loved the Tele deluxe i played a couple months back, the neck was a dream which really surpised me. But the pickups where underwhelming IMO.
