Well I went ahead and bought an Ebony BluesHawk and love it. So much I just went and bought another in heritage Cherry. I'm not loaded, just got very good deals on both. I love the Rickenbacker 480, 481, and 483 models that the Ibanez 2388 is a copy of. The Rickenbackers came with bolt-on and set necks. The bolt-on models came later in the 70s. I had a chance to buy a set neck for a reasonable price but I couldn't get the cash together.

The Blues Hawk doesn't look bad at all, and neither does the Gibson Night Hawk. But what were they smoking at Epiphone when they made this?
