Sooo, I had a good long play around with an M9 today at the local shop. I took some video that I've hacked together.

Thoughts: distortions sound good- while I didn't match my RAT exactly EQ-wise, it doesn't really feel like a digital emulation when actually get into the playing.

The only thing I didn't like that much was the small size of the knobs and screen.. and the knobs were a little on the stiff side, didn't make for such an easy "pretend you're twirling dials on a pedal" transition.

But yeah, overall very decent! Gonna look into it further..

you're making me want one now.
it'd be perfect for here at uni.

also the half a second of METALMETAL distortion followed by a quick "yeugh" and a cut made me laugh.

Nice demo Doog, I was tempted to have a go on one I saw today but didn't have time to sit and work it out. It looks pretty good though. I know what oyu mean about the size though

Really great demo, Doog. You sure got some chops etc. But you know that thing where you look at it so long it gradually starts to look really weird? That's your hand that is: like a muscly little roast chicken, at one stage.

In Bognor or South LANDON? No guitar store near me has them just PODs. And who the fuck wants one of them?

Oddly enough, the shop in Bognor. It really is a great store, they've got a lot of desirable stuff including pretty much a full compliment of current tube Marshalls. The amp was a Blackstar HT Club 40, or maybe Soloist 60. Just a tone control and mid shape button on the clean channel, but usable enough.

Hahahahaha.. the BULGIN' MUSKULS look probably not helped by having to wrestle that 60s reissue Strat with it's "limbo pole" action.

Annoyingly, I kept going to the same kinda sounds and playing the same horrible random pentatonic rock riffs in E- shame I didn't get some of the odder sounds available, the camera wasn't on the whole time. Oh well, I'll just do a better demo when I get one :)
