I personally love delay before dirt... I'm thinking of getting another delay just so I can have one at the start and end of my pedal chain..

I do all my delays before dirt. it just doesnt sound good any other way with fuzz. and ive tried all the other ways. Point is chain your pedals how you like them to sound, who cares?

I like it because my DD-6 has a warp function, so you can do some weird modulation stuff. My plan is too run that through my pedals and have the delay on at the end, should be pure bliss...

Based on a few choice cuts of DK, he used his Echoplex before his dirt so the fading repeats get less distorted.. like the intro to Police Truck, et al.

prob a fuzz of some kind. or maybe a boring overdrive.

Tech 21 ParaDriver DI, really versatile pedal. Bought for bass, but almost works better for guitar. If only the overdrive could be toggled independent of the EQ. Maybe a hobby project some time soon.

If i had a great amp, i probably wouldn't need any pedals besides a tuner. I guess I use my ts9 the most to drive the front end some lower gain amps.

Maxon AD-900. Noise, etc aside, can't see myself being without it.

I totally agree on how fantastic it is, but what kind of noise are you getting with it? Whether powered by a separate 12v/600mA supply or Voodoo Lab PP2 I've yet to get any of the sort, and the amount headroom regardless of what's in front makes it more sonically dependable in the chain than the average.

It's more hiss and whatever that I hear when it's on. It's not very pronounced, but it's definitely there. I had an OceanFX Vintage Echo which is a digital sounding analog that wasn't as hissy. I invariably play two types of music and often find myself using the PS-3 as the digital delay and the AD-900 as the warm slap back sound. I love what it does to my tone and like you said, you can throw a hoard of DS-1's at this thing and it would take it*.

Try using it with 9v and an adapter for polarity. It reminds me of all those Church-guitarist types. So... "perfect". None of said noise (it may be my cheap 12v power supply as I get 0 noise through my Diago, but that's feeding it 9v...).
