They're both great options but you can always find Classic 30's in that range, and sometimes a bit cheaper depending where you are at in the country.
The mig is killer and typically goes for a little more than that (from when I was looking for one). Given you don't like it, you could surly get your moeny back, and some and get a classic. You find classics all day everywhere, but not mig's.
One issue is the cab, if you don't have one then there's that cost to consider. I'm stuck with combos at this point but I def miss a head and 2x12 rig.
