i've literally done nothing on this in two weeks, so tonight after i re-wired my cab (turnes out all that was wrong was the input jack plate was bent.. no wiring, just metal bending to fix) and my project mustang i thought i should put a couple things on the body see how it looks, and kinda re-evalute the shape a bit before i get onto the long and beautiful task of sanding for ever...

so.. here is how it currently looks

That needs its own scratchplate design, hard

I'd make it look more jaguar-y as IMHO it looks a bit like a wonky mustang.

A custom guard would finish it off.

Moving on from my lack of help I think its looking really great and I cant wait to see the finished guitar.

I think I'd move the jag trem a wee bit closer too. I think it looks great, a nice compact sort of a thing, but with the trem down there it looks like the setup doesn't fit the body.

I agree with that, would also surely help the break angle of the strings over the saddles too?

that lower horn needs some work..

That looks cool, I'd love it if the top of the pickguard went up like a bronco does though.

It'd look cool if the pickguard stayed the same distance away from the edge of the body all the way round.

i agree, i think i'm going to have to make one from a blank..

as fro the bronco upper, i've never been a fan of it.
kinda wish i had my jaguar with me so i could pull the guard off to make a trace, and then combine it with my mustang guard.. i may opt for a 3 wsay toggle and kill switch on the lower switch plate instead of the standard jag plate.

i'll be making the control plate and the switch plate out of the spare metal i have from swapping the front fenders on my camaro.

scandoslav. nice.
not really digging the upper horn though..

I've always liked chrome plates, but recently I've been more drawn to big plastic guards a la scandoslav's one. I'm not sure if such a squat, curvy body needs such an elongated, feline guard, though.

i kinda really dig what haze just tossed down, mind you it really isn't all that different from what i've been toying around with.

Just to even things out really, I love the body shape but it leaves the pickguard needing "more" almost. I'll tinker with it a bit more, maybe a jag rhythm plate and move the trem closer
