I can assure you that if your hands are 6ft and weigh 180lbs then they are definitely larger than 'medium-sized'.

My buddy has one .. maybe I'll play with it again but last I remember it was a little too tight. I'm thinking 24" scale is the ticket but not saying 22.5" wouldn't work.
Blues is my music so I wanna be helpful if I can. I have an old Mustang and just bought a new Classic Vibe Duo-Sonic. Love em both and find that if I keep my guitar volume all the way up, rely on the amp for the basics and control volume with my attack, I can get just about any bluesy tone I want.

However, I have medium-sized hands (6 ft., 180 lbs.) and the frets do get a bit cramped up near the body. It's forcing me to use more precise technique and is not yet a barrier to my development (playin electric 15 months now). But if your fingers are thick or in some way lack flexibility, you may choose to rule out the 24 inch scale.
Doug- Welcome to the forum pal. Can i ask why you keep replying to posts in blue font? You'll get some stick for that round here dude.. just saying ;)

Hehe dude t'were funny and pretty much 98% true but felt the need to play the the underdog card! Seriously if anyone comes to me playing the blues through their 2000 quid PRS through rackmount digital stack and their leather elbow patches imma stand right by your side and clunge punt them back to geography teacher land or whereever the fuck they come from.

i'm also bagged on red wine if that helps explain anything.....

Personally, I think my cyclone or mustang sounds much better in front of something a bit more gritty than a TS. Something with a germanium transistor in it or something that can boost my bandmaster.

I'm really enjoying my Jag-stang into a French Toast for blues. Given that the neck pickup is pretty light, you can make it sound nearly synthy with a thick fuzz on. Also, depending on how you attack the strings, it goes nearly crumbly, and eventually a good string lead tone.

Im just really stuck on TS's sonic quality.. even when playing metal I dont use 'distortion' I think it covers up way to much tone. But thats just me- thats what makes being a musician great, we all have a different ear and a love for dif sounds. Keeps things fresh and everything is just a little less normal! :D
