that's what i've found. even the tonebender doesn't like the orange much. the dirt on the amp is just heaven though. proper guitar pot tweakers delight.

i'm thinking saltbooster or microamp might be the winner. maybe a treble booster.

I really love chorus but really hate the oscillating. I'd love a nice thick chorus without the oscillating, if that's possible. Or a chorus pedal with a freeze switch or something.

I just put anything that oscillates in the effects loop of my ls-2 then when I want said effect turn it on then hit the ls-2 footswitch and walla!

The Orange amps i've had didn't like pedals much, unfortunately I sold my Swollen Pickle before I realised it was the amp that was the problem.

Interested to know what you think of the Saltbooster as it's quite a thick boost. I found the SHO worked better for a bit more sparkley boost as they are dark amps. I know timhulio sings the praises of the microamp.

Saltbooster is amazing!!! I use it as a clean booster for more definition or as a solo boost for my Saltbreaker.

just got back from our first band practice in nearly 3 months. we've seen each other outside band, but it was good to be there ready to play.

i plumbed all my gear in, just taking the tuner/saltbooster/foot-swtich. set the amp on 15 watts to start with and cranked the tiny terror channel.
thick, rich drive that reacts so well dynamics and the cleans have that natural tube compression as you dig in a little more. i set the fat channel as my clean tone and left the tone knob at noon because it just sounded great where it is. Tone on the TT side was about 1-2 o clock, so plenty of bite, but still a nice low end. gain wise, i set it up so i had my crunch sound with the guitar turned down slightly and my lead/gainy sound with the guitar full. that 2x10 sounds well nice with a proper amp through it.

kicking in the saltbooster works really well. i had no problems cutting through the rest of the band for leads, and the sustain was well nice. wouldn't mind trying a brighter boost to see if it'd work even better.

The boss pn-2 is worth the hype, I also have a dunlop trem the old bigger version and it's great but doesn't compare as far as
functionality.
