I don't get why every one that makes pedals don't just put a big muff tone control on every pedal, it's easy and cheap, and it's a must have for me, especially when using more then one fuzz/overdrive/distortion pedal at the same time.Doog wrote:TONE CONTROLZ PLZ
I had a shoegazer and it was nice, but it lacked a tone control, so i sold it... the same thing happen with a shiva, i loved the crazy sounds, but it was to bright for my band amp...

The big muff tone control has its uses, but I'd go insane if every pedal had one, or any tone control for that matter. It's about the most unsubtle tone control you can get, which works with the muff or full-on fuzzes, but can ruinate others. I'm trying a pedal made by a mate at the moment, with a muff tone control after a jfet buffer and a variable scoop (think it's on AMZ) which is surprisingly good.
The Devi Ever stuff I've used has been passable if glitchy. Mostly one or two tricks per pedal, not stuff you'd use often. Props for keeping the prices down, however the fuzzes I've seen are pretty basic circuits and these are just plain boxes with stickers on. The wrapping boards in gaffer tape isn't pretty, but it's reliable enough in practice. The heavy duty wiring seems to hold stuff in place!

she's got good some good pedals. there are a handful that i wouldn't mind having. but they're not 'must-haves' either (otherwise, i'd have them...). don't care that much for a tone control but i did wish more pedals had internal feedback loops, self osc et cetera...

I've owned a few Devis and never really got on with them, always ended up selling them after coming across similar effects that I liked more.
It's a bit too soon to tell but one possible exception might be this Truly Beautiful Disaster (Effector 13 version) that I recently bought for a song...
It actually provides quite a wide range of synthy lofis, velcro or gated decays, and ultra spongy attack flavours. It's like a swiss army knife of limited usage fuzzes.
The feedback loop with it's photosensitive eye control is a fun addition.
I wasn't aware that she's undergoing gender treatments because I don't really concern myself with her beyond her product line. I'm not surprised to hear she might be wigging out publicly, though... These treatments generally involve aggressive hormone therapy and there's nothing to throw your brain off the tracks like messing with the juices inside of it.

One thing I might add though, is that I wouldn't like to have a pedal company named after myself. No matter how good the pedals are, people will slag em off occasionally, and being not particularly thick-skinned I'd take offence and reckon people were slagging me off.
