I said semi, as short for semi-acoustic. I don't know if the Viking is fully hollow or not, I'm a sceptic about body construction and wood, and certainly doubt full v semi hollowness makes any difference to plugged in tone.

it does when you turn on a distortion pedal and windows shatter. fully hollows tend to howl like banshees.
even disregarding that i think you can tell when you hear a coronado or similar that's there a lot of 'air' in the sound. it's hard to describe, but there's a noticeable difference to my ears anyway (but i'm listening out for it).
i'm babbling a bit, sorry.
