Your guitar, and these demos, make me happy.
Your mods have convinced me to keep my Fiesta Squier Jag stock, as I could not imagine coming up with something more interesting than yours.
Plus, it actually is a pretty good guitar as it is.
Plus plus, my coral Super-Sonic is almost done, so...

for how much you discredited your recording techniques, I thought it was pretty damn close to what it sounded like in real life.

My only minor issue is that bass was a decent amount stronger compared to the guitar. Or, at least that's the way I remember. Even when playing the guitar in person, I was amazed at how well the bass pickup really came through the mix. Does that make sense? The bass isn't cutting through the mix the same way it does in person.

yeah, i would echo the same. the bass was definitely there in your chest when you stand in front of it.

work up some crazy wizardry erik.

You'd think that with all the recording gear I have I could have come up with something a little less halfassed, right? Maybe I'll redo them when I'm feeling a bit better.

Dude if that was half arsed then i really want to see you going full on! I thought it all looked really professional compared to most demo vids. Like I said "fucking brilliant" including the videos and not just the mods themselves

Yeah, I'm digging up my own thread that's been dead for dead for 5 months, just wanted to give an update.
This guitar has become my #1 and I love playing it. It's taken a while to get comfortable on it and I've changed my approach to how I play and write songs to make the most out of it.......BUT, I have it strung up with .11's to make single picking more accurate. I've adjusted the neck no less than 6 or 7 times due to it constantly bowing under the tension. The action starts to get so high it's difficult for me to play without straining my wrist. After the last tweak (cranking on the trussrod nearly a 3/4 turn) to get the neck straight, I think it's now twisted. The high E string was fretting out from the nut to the 14th fret, while all the others were fine. I've had to raise the bridge on the treble side to compensate, but now the action isn't as comfortable.
For the money these are great guitars and if you like humbuckers the stock ones are nice sounding. The true 24" neck is also a plus, but if you plan on using any thing above .09 strings you might want to think about a different neck.

man i love your mod. would that work with any bass pickup on the top strings? or do you have to wire it like you did with the midi to get those bass sounds?

its perfect!

Nope, watch the video. I think that pretty much explains everything.
