H/S configurations were more common on 80s Superstrats like Charvette. Like THIS.

I've owned various super strats over the years, sorta have a love / hate relationship with them. But the only one I have now is this, and it's been sitting in my closet forever:



In pieces that is, because I stupidly decided to refinish the back of the neck (I can't stand painted necks for the most part).

It's a Vester Concert II series. Basically an early-90s Korean-made clone of a Jackson Soloist. Neck through and all. I'd let it go for cheap if anyone is interested in a project...I think all the pieces are there except for the tuners.

Holy crap that's nice. The toggle position is pretty much the only thing I don't like about it and maybe that'd be fine when you're actually playing it.

I've looked into west tone guitars, but they don't seem to be available in the U.S.

Always been a Superstrat fan. I'm not sure what it is about the style, but it's the style I'm most comfortable playing. So I have 4 of them.

Charvel San Dimas III 1996 reissue and Jackson Dinky XL, which was my first real guitar. The Charvel is the guitar I would go back into a burning house for. Only issue is that the neck is really thin, and as I'm getting older and less flexible, it's a bit hard to play for long jams. Sounds fucking amazing though. The Dinky has had I don't know how many pickup configs, but it currently has a DiMarzio Steve's Special in the bridge, then a Fast Track II and a Chopper in the Mid & Neck slots. It's way overbuilt but tuned down to B it'll melt your face.



Also recently acquired two Godin Velocities from Guitar Center for DIRT CHEAP. They were in their online used gear section because GC picked them up as overstock from someone. Brand new guitars, never sold and in perfect condition, just that they were overstock so they had to sell them as used. They can sell for up to $895 list, but I got one for $400 and the other for $300, with a fat Godin gig bag included. Absolutely the best built guitars for the money that I've ever played. They're my gigging guitars.




Edit: I don't use the trem on any of them because I don't do the weedly-weedlies much, I just prefer the string response over a hard tail.

Same here. Always had a Superstrat around since i first picked a guitar up. That Jackson is nice, i'm waiting for my friend to get bored of a MIJ Jackson Professional he picked up cheap so i can buy it.
