Reading that, I can see where other media sources like Rolling Stone spun it only quoting a few words out of the interview to fit their hypothesis, but on the other hand it definitely reads as though he hopes Santorum gets elected. Maybe that's not the same as supporting him in his eyes, but when you're a celebrity of any stature, speaking your preference in an interview is the same as supporting him. If he didn't want to "back" Santorum he could have easily dodged by saying that he doesn't care who gets in if they're a republican, or that he still needs to know more about Santorum before he would vote for him.

I had GAS for a metal guitar for a long time, until December when Fran offered me this beauty:
I've been gigging with it a lot.

re: Santorum, I don't even know what to say. There's nothing about him that is small government in the slightest.
That is wicked cool! Would be even better with a Fenderesque headstock with the tuners all on one side. What's the scale length?
I would guess full scale (25.5), but I'd love it if it was 24.75
I like 3X3 headstocks, but can understand the love for 6 on a side.

I like the symmetry of 3x3's on SG's and LP's, but that guitar with it's offset body would really benefit from a matching offset headstock. The symmetry of the 3x3 is jolting visually and seems out of place on that guitar. Still, that is one bad ass guitar.

It's obviously on the more tasteful 'Fendery' side of things (especially with it's new paintjob), but I do love me a FLOYD ROSE. Can't wait to put the electronics back in/replace the pups. Widdley widdley widdley widdley wah wah wahhh

Interestingly my only real requirement for buying a Warlock was that it absolutely could not have a Floyd Rose - lucky Fran's doesn't.
Can't stand those devil machines!

I got really fed-up with the one on my Ibanez S270 (which I owned for a number of months when I was 18), but time and experience has made me like 'em loads.. just gotta learn the idiosyncrasies. And never use alternate tunings.
The tension is a bit of a bitch with 11s though, it's like wrestling an alligator's jaws at times.

If i can find one, I will!
There's a place in town that has all sortsa cool but cheap metal guitars from 150-500$ max range. I think this town is just too cool for metal guitars, so they can be had cheap.

When my girlfriend stopped playing electric I inherited her superstrat-type-thing. I was pretty open minded about the Floyd Rose, but when the guitar had strings I didn't really enjoy any of the supposed advantages, and when I attempted to restring it I somehow managed to take the whole thing apart, pissed me right off it did. And then I couldn't figure out how to put it back together again, so the guitar has now been sitting in my room stringless and Floyd Rose-less for at least a year and a half. I should probably do something with it at some point...

I love these so much! I wish I could find one.
put some more money down on the Charvel SoCal today on my way to work and I should have it payed off in two more weeks. I will definitely make a thread with a video as usual. It's been a long time since I made a video. I'll make one for my Tele Deluxe that I bought in January as well, seeing as I didn't do a vid for that yet.
-Freddy VC is that a Warlock in that pic? They're fun guitars. I used to have an 80s one in blue sparkle with 6 in a line tuners and a floyd rose. It was too pointy. I used it in my old 80s cover band. We played Twisted Sister, Killer Giants, Whitesnake and Iron Maiden.

You should be able to find a tutorial on YouTube fairly easily. The guy who bought that Chinese one off me did. After restringing it he begged me to take it back off him....I should've known getting shot of it was too good to be true in the first place.

I see that guitar, and raise you this one:
Belongs to one of my uni mates. It's completely ridiculous, but I kind of like it.

I have a Peavey Explorer type thing with a Floyd Rose that fran sold me a few years back and it's pretty awesome for metal stuff. The shape makes it a pain in the arse to put on a stand safely though.
