I had a 69 reissue for a while and i thought it was great, i prefer having the tummy cuts on mine, no idea why.

that is Morphine, Medicine was an american "shoegaze" band. Check out the album "Shot Forth Self Living".

You know, I saw medicine like 3 times and I am not convinced he knew how to play live very well but he seemed quite adept at making noise, just throwing that tidbit out there. She definitely knew how to wail though. I consider this guy to be a lesser lee ranaldo.

They were definitely no Swervedriver.

I have only heard them recorded, I wish I could have seen them. I think he was going for something less SY, more wall of noise guitar squall with a good beat behind it, oh and he played a Mustang.

edit: i learned about them here, posted bc of the shortscale usage. then i got really into them and saw them live. lead singer played a strat and the lead guitar player used a hollow body gibson :(

Rundgren has used them quite a lot thru the years....

think he used one to record 'Death of Rock and Roll' off the utopia Initiation album....

That is some SERIOUS jangle. The bass is even jangly.
