I reckon these are Japanese, only they polish their frets to that extreme.

I feel like that offset custom is just a slap in the face to those who want the starcaster reissued.

Hmm....

Okay, it looks pretty good in that picture. Like, "I would totally play that" nice.

However, can't help feeling it needs a scratchplate. An anodised gold scratchplate. And filtertrons instead of P90s.

Meh, the Jaguar thing seems like a pretty cool idea by my book. The mustang is nothing new and the rest just seem like stupid guitars nobody was asking for, in the first place.

JM pickups look heinous without a pickguard.

I think others have already said so in this thread but the Jaguarillo is one of those "why didn't Squier do this at some point?" guitars. It's an odd situation where Fender are releasing bizarre mashup Jaguars that wouldn't have been out of place in the old Vista range while Squier are soon to be releasing genuine Jaguars and Jazzmasters.

Also, what's the scale length on the hollowbody stratguar thing? It looks short, but I can never tell.

Fender is becoming 90's Squier and Squier is becoming 90's Fender Japan.

i wonder if these pawnshop dealies will be be as unappreciated during their production run and prized after the fact as the Vistas, though...

Ah, okay. Although it lists those Jazzy pickups as being "JZHB Humbucking". Have we seen these before or are these going to be some sort of stacked humbuckers under Jazzmaster covers?

That guitar is gorgeous. If I had free money I'd totally rock one, alas money isn't free :?

DROP THE SQUIERS.

NOW.
Agreed. For fuck's sake, all these mashups are giving me a headache.

Mom, I want a stratotelejagsonicstangmaster for Christmas!

Behold. The only conceivable guitar Fender has yet to peoduce.

peo is PR Spanish for a fart.... which kinda made me giggle in the context of the fucked up inbred guitar hybrids Fender is producing.

I like the Mustang Special in the Sunburst finish. Were the first round off Mustang Specials made out of Alder?

I actually thought I liked the look of the Jaguarillo until I realized that the front and middle pickups were strat pickups and not Jaguar pickups. The Sonic Blue and angled humbucker reminds me of a Jag-stang
with a middle pickup added. Drop in some new pickups (Lace Sensors?) and it might be okay.

I noticed that both the Offset and Jaguar-whatever have locking tremolos.

The offset is just ugly. They chopped the butt like they did on the Mustang special, added the Marauder upper horn and made the body to big and bulky. I just hate that this guitar could have been really good, but they just through a bunch of random features together and hoped for the best. If they had stuck with the standard JM body it could have been so much better.

Overall, no home runs but at least Fender is attempting to stretch the box a little. Can't expect for gold every time, but I am not sure how anyone thinks that Offset Special is attractive.
