Sounds like the Pure Octave is based on the wobbly PS-3 circuit, not a Micro POG killer like we'd hoped :/

Isn't the pitch shift a POG killer without the blend knob?

Glad I didn't hold out for the Pure Octave then. The Pitch whatever can't do +1/-1 at the same time but it sounds sexcellent in demos and more stuff to muck about with.

It's the same circuit by the sounds of it, and the 3 different modes suggest a clone of the PS-5 or at least the Behringer rip-off:

just order this one! Probably shouldn't, but what the hell less then 70 euros shipped for a ps that can do 1up and 1 down at the same time just can't be that bad... Will do a demo when i get it

This newish range of pedals by Mooer look very interesting.

I'm interested especially in the octave, the pitchshift and the analog delay.

If I didn't already various fuzz pedals, I'd also be very interestred in the triangle big muff and the fuzz faces they do.

Anyone know how close the circuit of the Mooer Ana Ech is to a Boss DM2/DM3?

The octave looks really good, especially compared to the price of a 3-knob POG and the big POG.

A NYC EHX Big Muff could be employed as a pedalboard for these tiny pedals. :p

the tracking on the pitchshifter is dogshit

sorry to burst the bubble but it only effectively tracks the b major scale

everything else is warbly and fucked

Yeah I heard bad things about the pitch shifter.

On the other hand though the overdrives are great, I've got a flex boost and it's become my main overdrive sound.

Anyone with any comparative experience of the Mooer Pure Octave? It looks very versatile.

Nope but I read that the Pure Octave is actually a better option that the shifter for that kind of thing. pretty sure i read favourable comments generally though I forget where

As someone who just bought one of those, hell yes. The day before mine arrived, I went to Guitar Center for strings, saw that they fixed their Boss display/demo board, so I plugged in and tried out the pitch shifter setting on their most recent in the PS line, the PS-6 Harmonist. I was shocked at how wobbly and muddy it sounded. I had read that it was supposed to handle single notes and chords similarly well without wobbles, but it wobbled like hell even on single notes. The mix was all off too, with the mix in the middle, the pitch shifted sound dominated the dry guitar easily, had to back it down to around 9:00, 10:00 on the balance to get an even level.

The next day, I got my Behringer PS and it is amazing compared to the Boss. On the PS setting, chords and single notes were clear and barely wobbly at all. I played major, minor, and suspended chords on it without a problem. Barely a wobble heard. I especially like mixing in the 5th up and 7th up with my dry signal. In front of reverb, it's nice and ethereal, but when I put fuzz before it, it sounded huge and synthy and continued to track well.
