Early 70's Musicmaster neck. You can tell because the word "Music" and "Master" are separated. My 1972 Musicmaster neck had the same spacing. Some time in 1975 they went back to being spelled "Musicmaster".

Thanks! No stamp on it, so that is great to know. That would mean that it is indeed older than I am. (1979 is stamped on my neck. )

I wetsanded the first coat of primer. I am hoping that will help the second go on really flat so the metallic paint will look awesome. It is ready to paint now. I will spray coat two tomorrow. I should know then if I need to do a third coat or not to get it smooth.

Got coat number two on. It will need a third and maybe fourth coat because I can still see where the stop tail plugs are a little bit. My OCD wants that flat.

So there was still a little bit of line showing from the plugs showing so I sprayed some of the paint in to a lid and dabbed it on the spots. Once dry, I will sand it flat. I also dabbed a couple spots on the bottom so I can get it a bit more flat.

One more coat of metallic green to go. Looking very very sexy. The flash is making it look dark teal, but trust me, it is DARK GREEN.

Me too! It almost looks black sometimes it is so dark, but in good light it is very deep green.

After wetsanding the first clear coat to flatten it a bit before doing more clear, I felt like drawing, so I drew a Green Goblin head in the trem rout.
