Last coat of Z-Poxy applied. Now I just need to let it set and get ready to sand.

I think that as well, but that makes no sense with a Jag-Stang. Those only came in solid colors. Using veneer on the front and back to hide seams on a solid color body just seems kind of dumb to me. LOL

Are you going to leave it that translucent color or give it enough coats to make it full on metallic?

I am surprised you didn't use primer first, though the grain looks really nice that way. It's an either or thing, it looked really good as a solid metallic color, but the translucent green looks ace too.

I agree, that translucent metallic green looks good. Maybe even with one more layer?

Leave it the stained color! That looks sick! :D

I sometimes use a primer, sometimes not, that is just a first round. It will be solid. (Sorry Punk) It just needs the rest of it's color coats. :)

I know but that looks so sick. If you put more coats just on the sides it would look pretty cool.

Maybe if there weren't the couple of burn marks from stripping I might, but the metallic looks so awesome with full coats. It literally makes me think of candy when this type of paint is applied fully. I think when it is done you will like it. :)

True. I think that the metallic stain look would be cool on a mustang body with a black guard. Ha.

Hey HNB. I was just watching something that had Steve Harwell from Smash Mouth in it and from the pictures you have posted, you look a lot like him haha.

Oh. Is the finish on this one Polly? What did you use on the other one that keeps melting on me? The place I go to now that paints my guitars the paint is perfectly dry in a day or two after its painted.

Clear coat was nitro. Poly dries fast. Nitro dries slow. :)
