Thanks! I appreciate it. I like to try to keep it with a similar vibe, but I do want it to be mine. Might be as simple as cleaning off the guard and getting black pickup covers instead. I have a hard time planning a guitar without seeing it and playing with it to see if I am cool with it as is or different.

I think it is three ply black. Not sure yet. :) Hopefully it will arrive soon so I can check it out and get some pics up. (Plus I need to get it prepped for paint and repaired.)
If it's the same guard it's 3 ply. BWB

Well, I don't want to be a dick. (Even if I am pissed.) Trying to be understanding and all that..... :D

Pretty sure dickdom is a respected attribute on this site.

I suppose so. ;) I guess I am just a pussy. In all seriousness, I am not that mad. I just want to get to see the guitar. Now it sounds like it might be another week or more before I even get to see what it looks like. LOL

I am still pretty set on Duplicolor Metal Flake Green.

I approve of this entire post. :)
Likewise. I refrained from posting here because I just didn't like the idea of taking the uniqueness of the creature and making it look 'standard'...as with all such things my point is: go buy a standard one and don't remove a unique creation from the world. But this combination I think retains the spirit of the original nicely and would both honour it AND look TITS.

I didn't have a problem with how it looked initially. It is red now. Once I get it, I can post pictures, but I am guessing it looks more standard as well. I am hoping to keep it looking different. :) I would like for it to stand out in a crowd.

Sadly (and I am really pissed) I won't be working on the creature. The guitar I traded arrived broken so instead I get to go to USPS and start an insurance claim. Hopefully that goes well. I haven't ever had a guitar take this long to arrive or get there broken so I am pretty pissed off.

Surely it should be up to the sender to arrange some kind of insurance claim and refund ?

Was it packed well enough ?

I feel for you.

When I get in these situations like this & things turn sour, I just become content with what I have.

Some things are just too much hassle for what they're worth. Spend your time playing, instead of buying / selling. It's a vicious circle I tell you !!!

Naw.. mixed it up a bit. The guitar I sent to trade for the creature arrived broken. (That is why it isn't being sent to me.) I did have the guitar insured, so I filed a claim with the USPS.

OIC, that sucks just as much. Good Luck with sorting that out. :(

Not to make things worse but I know a lot of couriers wont insure instruments even if you have it. Don't know about USPS though.
