washers, or so bored out nuts would work to keep it in place, i know i have used tape before, as well as rubber from an ink pen. eventually i just said fuck it, set it up and dealt with the rocking bridge, never had a problem with it.

I have these squier tuner bushings I use
They are perfect for rooting the bridge in place
