If this was a few hundred, I'd lap that shit up. Do love one pickup things with a tremolo.

Meh. Don't like any of them. And certainly not for CS prices.

"Eminently collectible" LOL.
I hate it when guitar companies sell their guitars as a collectable item rather than an instrument.

I'm a lot closer to this line of thinking but I just can't imagine any electric guitar ever being priced at over 2.5k in any circumstance at all. Vintage/Collectible stuff etc withstanding.

It is pretty funny seeing Fender and Gibson grabbing each other's dicks the last couple years.

Gold anodized guard on a maple grained top? Just doesn't make any sense. They would have been better off scraping the guard altogether so they could highlight the wood.
Also, is Okoume really that great of wood for a $7000 guitar? facepalm this shit, fender.

WTF? I had to wiki that shit, they made a fucking premium guitar out of that shit?!?
Okoume: "It is a weak wood with low decay resistance, moderate dimensional stability and slightly carcinogenic. The major use of Gaboon is in the manufacture of plywood."

That's what I thought! I'm pretty sure they make it into a plywood for building boats. That's not to say that it doesn't work fine enough as a body wood for an electric guitar, but why not use somethign premium (or even standard) for a $7,000 guitar.

"Eminently collectible"
IE: "We will only sell these for a short while before they hit the discount bin due to lack of consumer interest"

It bothers me that the relic's look like someone did them all the same with a machine. Maybe i'm crazy but the "relic" look looks the same on all the guitars. The paint is rubbed off in the same places and the nicks and dings are the same to me.
I think my old squier is plywood. I don't care the specifics as long as it plays and sounds well but don't try and sell me strawberry hill as fancy expensive wine even if i am fond of it. Now you're treating my like a fool.

Shit, Fender is looking terrible right now. On the other hand, Squier is fucking awesome, what with the 2012 VMs and the new Affinity colors (I DON'T GIVE A SHIT I NEED A LPB TELECASTER RIGHT NOW)
fuck fender go squier

Did you catch that the Jaguar Gato Gordo Cabronita was actually a 25.5"?
"Sleek and powerful, the Limited La Cabronita "Gato Gordo" Jaguar takes Fender’s classic cat and revamps it for the modern pro player with a forceful TV Jones® Power’Tron pickup and standard Fender 25.5" scale length (versus the traditional 24" Jaguar scale length)."

The core of the boat I built was from marine grade okoume ply. Very light. Wood with little to no knots.
