How do you get the out of phase? A guy on TDPRI (Googled) said to swap the bridge pickup wires.

I'd like this. but it's too expensive.

Or the neck pickup. However, you need to make sure one of the wires isn't connected to the pickup cover or baseplate. You can perform some minor surgery to add a separate ground wire to do this job, or buy one which already has three wires. I bought a neck pickup from Oil City Pickups - handwound pups from East London (not Canvey Island, sadly - he must get that a lot) and requested a separate earth wire. It's a pretty good sounding Tele neck pickup.

Both of my Teles are wired in a busted version of the standard 4-way switching:
1) series
2) neck
3) out of phase
4) bridge

Ash from Oil City is currently repairing my pre CBS telecaster pickup from the tele I posted above. Can't wait for it to get back.

I don't think I'd ever swap my '02 MIM standard. I swapped the bridge for a 3 brass saddle vintage one because I like it, and nice to have an ashtray, and the 6 saddle modern one has a good home on the Doogcaster.

Not the music artist make. But for my playing, its not my guitar. I been playing telecasters at the store, but no.
And i dont judge telecaster for others, but for me its a no.

The best looking tele is the Cobain tele in blue he painted for himself.

A 2 humbucker tele i never tried, but i guess the body in my hands would feel wrong.

I like Telecasters. My head would say the basic standard would be the best one, but my heart made me choose these:



a '99 USA Deluxe in natural Ash and tortie binding (Kinman AVN-60 pups) and a '12 Cabronita (TV Jones Powertrons).

I've owned a dozen teles and currently own 4, but my favorite is the JOHN 5

The "shitburst" paint scheme + the CBS headstock really makes this thing look great. I'd probably go w. hot rail in the bridge but thats not an option so just kinda imagine it in there
