If you're ever near North London you can try mine!
Thanks Tim, I may well take you up on that at some point. Often drive into London on the West Way.

I have a feeling the SG model might dive a bit. Unless the Lucite balances them out.

Mine balances pretty well, with the shorter scale moving the centre of gravity a fraction, and the bigger body/strap placement.

Both the standard shape and the chessie shape look pretty boss. I'm very partial to double-cuts though.

Bumpin' for deposit receipt!
Hey Angus,
I've attached an invoice reflecting the deposit paid for your EGC Series One guitar. Please let me know when you determine which color of powder coat you would like for the body. If you would like to make payments during your wait, you are welcome to do so. Please reference your serial number (#1154) if you send a payment through PayPal and I'll send you an updated invoice. You are also welcome to wait and pay the whole balance plus shipping when we're ready for final assembly, which should be near the end of you estimated wait time. I'll be in touch then to let you know your outstanding balance plus shipping costs (which I'll provide you with an exact amount when that time comes, but I can provide an estimate based on current rates - the cost does vary a little bit over time) will need to be paid before we proceed with final assembly and finishing. Please let me know if I can help you with anything else.
Thanks so much for letting us build you this guitar,
Hilary
Will post pics and videos once it arrives. That is, as long as the internet is still a thing by the time it arrives :)

I will do indeed Nick. I'll also bring it to some shartscale UK mash up if we can organise one. I think you're the only person form here I've met in the flesh.

What colour did you go for in the end?

How longs do you have to wait?

Just priced up a triple-humbucker, mahogany clear-coated body with tortoise pickguard on the site... £2100. Should I just sell everything else to raise the funds? Because fuck me, that's tempting.

Pink :D

I put the order in in March, so if it comes next month that'll be 7 months. Really quick. Think they have been able to speed things up by removing the custom options. Good for me, bad for peoples that want to have something truly unique and tailored to them. I'm not that demanding/imaginative.

Could be cool. When it turns up I'll let you know if it's the type of guitar that could be your only guitar.

It's a series one, which is an evolution of the steve albini shape, which in turn is an evolution of the TB.

Don't forget 20% VAT and any other joke charges they like to add on.

Yeah I got a nearly £700 import tax bill when I got my guitar shipped over. Combine that with the shipping cost of around £200 it makes it really very expensive getting guitars shipped over from the US.

Haha, holy shit, I forgot all of that crap.

Isn't there a company that just makes aluminium necks?

Now there's a business idea.

These are lovely things but I couldn't bring myself to pay 3 grand for a guitar.

Somebody at work has a £2000 PRS. I'd get one just to show him what a proper £2000 guitar can be...
