The C9 looks cool but theres presets on both pedals I want. I wish they had put all the cool chic organs in one pedal and all the proggy balls on another

It's also fun (not to mention cost-effective) to tease new noises out of stuff you already own, instead of acquiring loads of new stuff. My electric piano *could* act as a MIDI controller if I fiddled around with the connections I guess, but running it - and my RA-50 - through various amps and stompboxes is inspiring in itself.

For a MIDI controller, EVERYONE SHOULD JUST GET BASS PEDALS.

Or just get a controller with additional knobs to map to the VST parameters.

b9 sounds better than the c9 to me

supposed to be picking one of these up today on Xmas sale (drummer works at Guitar Center so I get his discount). Probably be about 150 out the door. My lead guitarist in the band has 2 B#'s at his house but hes not gonna drag them out for a couple songs at a show. I ma planning on using it just for some chords sounds in a couple songs that have that sitting back in the mix. I am curious how it reacts to an acoustic verses an electric.

So I got this today and first thoughts are that it is awesome. Also got $50 off list and used a $50 gift card so it only cast me about 130 cash out the door.

It will be interesting to hear what my lead player says Friday when we play as he has 3-4 original hammonds but I think it will work great for some basic shimmering chords, etc.

I've heard these don't play well with bass... do you have one to test and report?

don't have a bass at the house but if I get a chance to check it I will and report back.

I finallu got around to trying both out for an hour this morning at Anderton's. The guys were helpful but two dodgy leads made for a bad start. Overall I think, like George, that I prefer the B9. I found I had to turn down the tone on the guitar to prevent some strange harmonies on the C9 Prog setting. A couple of things I found disconcerting were (a) the touch sensitivity, which most organs don't have and didn't seem to quite correlate with the guitar volume; (b) there seemed to be some "breathing" noise, though that might have got better when we got onto a decent cable.

Could merely be side effects of chasing organ sounds with guitar, really. All of the things you're noting here ring true to what I experience with the Pog2... turning down the tone knob is how I deal with pretty much all of them. I also find humbuckers work much better with octave pedals if you're trying to fool yourself into thinking it's an organ... the extra audible high-end finger/pick noises afforded by single coils are going to give it away as a guitar every time.

And another one:

So... they're basically getting Bill Ruppert of Effectology to see what interesting sounds he can come up with, usually using multiple EHX pedals to do so, and then they're building those sounds into specialist pedals of their own... Which is fine by me.

I just wish they had sliders.
