I am sure the paint will snug it up.

I sure hope so. It doesn't look that bad. I'm thinking it will once the finish on the neck is on. Since Polly is pretty thick.

Yeah, you won't even notice anything once the bodies painted and the neck has finish on it.

Small update. Kinda. Looks amazing. Rowyco does some top shelf stuff. Oh and Cross, I took some lemon oil to the fretboard. Looks real nice. Check out that grain! It's kinda like taking a trip back to '69. Next step is Spitfire tort.

It's looking great!! Spitfire tort is lovely but I'm a big fab of BWB guards on scumburst.

I actually like the black but I'm going for vintage correctness.

Depending on the colour and pattern of the tort, burst+tort can look oh so right or OH NOEZ WRONG, but black always works.

It's gonna be a darker burgundy tort. Should look nice.

Me too, would have to be some special tort to surpass a black guard.

Had a go at the neck heel stamp. Not perfect. Could it fool a Guitar Center employee? Sure. But good enough for me. I did it in a fine sharpie, lightly sanded it for age, covered it in nail polish clear coat, and then lightly hit it with some unwound copper pickup wiring for some dullness. lol. (This is the neck stamp the neck that was on this body had)

Some dude from the switch tip forum. Didn't he rip some kid off or get ripped off by a kid back in the JS.com days? Or maybe he built one of ICey's guitars? I don't remember.
I don't think he ripped him off in the end, he just took, like, a year and a half to build one neck.
Ooh. I just stumbled across this.
I did in fact build a custom jag-stang for a forum member at JS.com.
He had seen some of the guitar builds I had done on the forum and commissioned me to build him one.
It was my first attempt at building a bound neck. I didn't quite have the skills back then to pull it off.
I guess I was a bit too optimistic about my ability.
This is almost ten years ago now.
The build did take some time because I was still learning and attempting things I hadn't done before.
He was very patient throughout the whole process
I'm quite happy to admit I did a poor fret job. I didn't realise I had done such a bad job until a while later when he posted his dissatisfaction of my build.
I instantly messaged him and gave him a full refund. I felt pretty bad about it.
Since then, I have been very cautious.
I now know not to promise something I can't follow through on and I have become much faster and better at building bodies and necks.
I'm still making these in my bedroom/studio.
