Yeah that’s the other thing. Most of the Epiphone specific models look better with the batwing anyway. I think this new/old open book style epi headstock always existed to just not be a Gibson headstock.

When I went to Guitar Center on Tuesday none of the Epiphones I saw there had the new headstock.
