I like the sound of my Tube Screamer through my Twin, so I voted overdrive. I'm currently saving for a Vox AC-15 though, to have that amp for dirty and my Twin for clean.

Indeed. That's why I love my RAT and my OD-3. Nothing beats picking dynamics on my Marshall crunch channel though, just playing softly and then digging in is beaut.
I guess we've learned that big polls suck

I use my amp's 6V6GC overdrive and then I boost that with an Yngwie Malmsteen preamp booster. But I picked the orange amp choice by accident.

Big Muff and Fab OD together. That gives some cool sounds.

good marshall + good RAT = not having to worry about a world of other bollocks.

Singlecoils + RAT + Marshall = head-exploding awesomeness.

thought i'd point out the only Orange guitar amps with 6V6s are the Rockerverbs.
i get my dirt from the Matamp Roadster. don't remember, think it has 5157 & EL84 tubes. setting amp gains & adjusting guitar volume controls between clean->fuzz.

Honestly I had to check the "fuck off with your dirt" option. I haven't been keen on distortion as of late, especially in the band I'm in. I do want to get a good 60's fuzz and another ODR-1 or DOD 250 sometime though, for self experimentation

Make sure you line up the DeLorean right. There's a strip mall where this thread exists in 2009.

I've got a pair of quick-breakup EL84s and a Weber alnico in my band (which now may be playing again, who knows) amp. Since I dime the thing anyway, I just rock the natural grit and fiddle with the volume knob. I've been using my Silvertone lately, so I just get a little extra push from a modded DS-1.
Other then that I don't use distortion at all.
