My roll in a day isnt going to plan, taken only 8 so far and it's getting dark... Going into town now though so im gonna try it at f2.8 and 1/30 shutter speed. Should work ok...

Took a few last night, but nowhere near finishing the roll.
So I went out early this afternoon (day off!) to take some more and also take some with my digital camera. A roll of film in 1 day isn't that easy if you're not in an interesting place!

I took a few of these/similar ones on both digital and film, so it will be interesting to compare when I get them developed...

Really like the dog and the shop window picture!

Never seen that before.
I like to think I would do the same thing, stand my ground. I've never been asked to not take photos though. To be honest I'm quite shy when taking photos, especially if its people. As soon as someone notices i usually move on or try and pretend I was taking a photo of something else haha.

Yeah after seeing this video I would love to handle myself as well. I'm afraid the little punk in me would just tell them to fuck off. But obviously cold hard facts work better. well they did in this instance.

In other news I may have just bought an Olympus 35RC based on you telling me to Dan you are going to have to stop doing that or it could get DANGEROUS!

hahaha. It's a great little camera. So small you can take it anywhere, all of the time.

While I don't mind spending cash on my hobbies, I don't have a tonne to spend... so I cobble some decent components together and then get stuck without being able to upgrade or get things I need. With this in mind, I do all my macro work with a Nikon D80 (dated, but pretty hot when I got it... just wish it had better high ISO sensitivity) with a Nikkor 50mm f1.8 (yeah, the $150 one) on a reversing ring. Here I was also using my SB-800 strobe.

Nikon D80, 50mm (reversed), f8, 1/40, ISO200; SB-800 @f36 1/8

Wish I could afford an actual macro lens, but I get by with what I have

Went out again this morning to the Northern Quarter area of Manchester. It's the most interesting area, a lot of arty shops, graffiti, back alley ways etc, best place for photography anyway.
Finished off the roll finally on the 35RC, will get it developed tomorrow hopefully. Also took out my digital camera as usual...

Well I agree with not having money to spend, I havent bought a camera for myself since my second hand fujifinepix s7000 years ago. Well apart from the 35mm I just done bought. Everything else is loaned to me or bought for me! Photography can be stupid expensive!

To be honest, i took this one with my mobile phone and did some afterwork to make it look a little "lomo-styleee"....

Yeah, I agree. That is a nice shot. Also quite like the wood texture ones...
