Two switches for:
1) whacking the sub-octave on full
2) doing something odd to the lo-pass filter which makes an ace washing machine sound

Did you do all this yourself through trial and error? Weren't you scared you could fuck mister poggy up?

I really wanna try a POG, my EBS Octaver (and the Arion I used to have) glitches when you do anything with more than one note, spesh lower down. And the Boss PS-5's polyphonic pitchshifting sounds kerap.

Mainly from the Supercomp- it's up full, see. I only use the MXR Dist+ on one song these days.

I didn't know you could get dirt out of a compressor.

Yeah but if you got your jammy toddler fingers onto it you'd kill the poor bugger in seconds...

Your Tunamelt and DT-10 speak to me in my dreams

Hahahaha..

I really don't like fucking with PCBs as a result of the Korg, I was shitting myself over having to unsolder those caps in my amphead- luckily it was a village idiot-friendly snip job.

Dude I fucking hate them. Ever since I got one too hot at uni and a pad lifted right off I have been anti. Tim is like MacGuvyer or some shit.

The POG was pretty easy- the switches just bypass the relevant sliders.
Worth noting, the PCB in there actually has cataways to allow for the addition of footswitches in the locations I've added the toggle switches. That's pretty thoughtful of EH.

Indeed. Very smart!

The electric mistress:
worth noting I HATE the flanger on this. In fact, I've gone off all modulation effects recently (or I assume I have. Chorus/delay/flange, that's modulation isn't it?) but I love the filter matrix metallic sound. The top-right footswitch is for flanger/matrix. The other controls on there are for a vintage MXR dist+ I chopped-up and put in there. There's a switch to allow just the MXR, just the Filter Matrix, or both (sounds great) and a true bypass footswitch on the left.

It has 'turn me off' written on it as the LEDs used to run on batteries until I rewired it.
thats really awesome

Might be using it as a boost. You can get a lot of volume out of them after all.

I know you can get a little dirt from some tube compressors, I dont think you could out of most though.

8) indeed.

Where did you come from? Nice stuff.
One day I shall add an AC30 to my amp collection if I get another bonus from work or something. Is that a CC? Which speakers? Nice guitars too.

Nice gear! How do you like the Jekyll and Hyde?

I used to have one and found the distortion side much too bright AND wooly in the low end, and the OD sounding like someone just mashed together a clean and distorted tone.

by Mike
The OD is like a Tubescreamer with a blend right? Like a TRex Moller or the TC Electronic Vintage Tube Primer or whatever it's called?

Posted: Sat May 05, 2007 2:21 pm
by Doog
Nah, it doesn't have a blend pot. The red version has a bass boost switch on the OD side to sort out the low end dropout so common with Toobsqueemers, but it still sounds really odd when run into a clean amp.

I thought the Jeckle and Hyde were two Tubescreamers?
