If only they had electric blue finishes with lightning graphics, Floyd Rose tremolos and EMG's (85 and 81) I'd be all over it.

Andertons just sent me an email saying they have them in stock, although looking on the website it says they only have one left.

I just pop in to post the same thing. I'm so tempted to buy it but I've had a couple of extra expenses this month, new magsafe changer, van hire, pre-ordered Skyrim to cough up for(well I probably could have seen this last one coming).. mmmm, get guitar and risk bank charges come the end of the month?

Yeah but there are a lot of Squiers that offer unique features that Fenders don't, and it's those Squiers I usually end up buying.

He also had a blue sparkle.

That blue sparkle is utter sex. (not to be confused with udder sex...)

And getting completely off-track here, a short-scale Jaguar bass -- which I think looks horrible, along with the regular-scale Squier Jag bass. The Fender version is killer, however.

Other than the many guitars that have already been named, there are also little subtle things like how the Squier Deluxe Strat is one of the few guitars in Daphne Blue w/ a 22-fret neck, a twin-pivot tremolo, and a one-piece maple neck.

fender did release a duo in the 90s . . .
and those small details just seem irrelevant to me. they're still the same guitar regardless of what color, number of frets, or how many pivot points are on it.
The jag bass could be a valid point but from all of the ones I've played, the Fender Jag bass is FAR superior. Maybe not the better value but it is certainly the better instrument.

I think we're probably a bit biased though, me owning one and you formerly owning one. The Fender version is much more aesthetically pleasing.
