Weird. I'm sure I've read in quite a few books that Dimarzio trademarked it. :S

Relicking? I suppose that's plausible with that cream specimen there.

I think as long as they don't call it "cream" they're fine (parchment, off-white, aged, etc...)

DiMarzio are cunts, they also trademarked the name "PAF" even though it's the nickname/acronym for something very well known that they were copying with it. Like if some guitar company came out tomorrow and called themselves "shortscale" and then sued the forum, claiming we'll confuse their customers.

+100.

I think a Squier Custom Shop would be off the hook. But they would never do it because it would just steal from the lower MIM range. You could create some really cool guitars and not lose out so much.

don't they already sort of, kinda have one? i always see stuff on their website about them making guitars for rockstars not good enough for fender to bother with them.

Nah they just make sig guitars and that. Or the Vintage Modified stuff (which is cool ifyou get a half decent fretjob - but too expensive in the UK as we pay twice what you do).

I've said many times Rob needs to work for Fender.

See I think he would be suffocated at Fender. He needs to be given free reign at Squier. People would fucking love it.

Do you seriously think Rob would take any shit from anyone if they got in a discussion with him about Fender guitars?

at least let him run the website for fender.

im not sure if i want to string this thing up yet or wait until i get the cream.....

i reckon that im going to have to get some new springs too since its only got 3 in the back and that shit usualy pulls the bridge up about 2 feet when i put on robroe sized strings. its only had the stock strings on it for that whole 2 days before i tore the thing all apart.

the rear pickup is out of my 51. its a 3 wire pickup but im not sure how to get it to work since the push pull pot that works with it is still in the 51 and i forget how the fuck it came rigged up.

the way i have it rigged up right now I think only one coil is working because itts really quiet compared to the neck pup
