Either/Or and XO are both way up there for me, I just can't get past Waltz #1 for me, I actually think that's probably the most amazing song he wrote. It's like a dream. New Moon and Basement also blew me away, so much good stuff.

I'm busy in my job and believe it or not this is kind of relaxing to me, I quite enjoy solving logical problems so things like stripboard layouts and the inevitable debug on non working circuits really interest me. I really enjoy firing up my soldering iron and setting to, plus the achievement factor is extremely high when you plug your guitar into something you made and it rocks your sock off. Even better when it ends up in the hands of a friend or a guitarist you respect who also digs it. Some of the feedback I've got from the guys who have bought this simple booster design I did based on the EHX LPB-1 have really made my day, I'm elated to have made something they enjoy. But no it's not a realisable business concern for me, principally because I don't have any real design chops, Aen is your man for that stuff - guy churns out pedal after pedal of original, musical and out there stuff. I walk in his shadow.

The second reason is that as a result of my lack of design ability in the analogue sector, I'm fairly limited to copying/cloning/taking inspiration from existing circuits, and I have no real desire to just fuck someone over by making a large run of homebrew clones of a design, regardless of how overpriced or whatever it might be. My current "work ethos" is that I have 4 boosters left to do in my run and then that'll be over, and from then on it's doing projects for my buddies and things that interest me, one-offs - that if someone is interested in buying, then awesome - but otherwise I'll keep or dismantle and move on to the next thing.

I wouldn't say that was true at all, at least I hope not, because I would hate that to be the case. I love new people turning up and this thread is a good one, cool question, ideas and debate, and photos too. I love the photos. I think people just got a bit protective of me because you made an arsey comment and assumed I was on the make. and I'm not.

but that's cool - we're past that. No Worries.
