DuoSonicBoy approves of Duo-Sonic mods and corksniffer caps. DSB also knows that orange drops and phonebook caps have different constructions and sound different.

So did you actually play the guitar before you ripped it to pieces?

I think we're over-reacting a bit to the faux-cap/Fender-decal. It's not like the guy has nailed a baby seal to the headstock. They're cosmetic modifications, something which pretty much all shortscalers who have made project guitars have done to their instruments to make them look cool. ("looking cool" always being subjective to individual opinion). I've seen a few non-Fenders get a "real" Fender decal put on their headstock along these parts. And although this is the first tarted-up capacitor I've seen, I don't think it's really worth bringing out the "corksniffer" analogies. Fullerplast never claimed that the paper wrapper is going to alter the tone of the orange drop or anything like that.

someone with a better social skills than you.

I joined this forum because the one I usually go to is getting full of fucking idiots, seems this one isn't much better which is a shame because I have a lot of respect for Mike, Hurb and the shortscale demos.

Say 'who the fuck are you' to my face and see what happens.
