Well, I did a little more research about this particular guitar and I think it is a korean Greco. in the 80s there were japanese and korean ones (made by Cor-Tek aka Cort). the key things to notice are no serial number stamped on the back of the headstock. The "Open O" on Greco (also the little slash though the middle of the diamond inlay). the wires are the thin kinds not like the wire braided ones on the MIJs. it still looks like a nice guitar though, it has the "long tennon" construction like MIJ Grecos and real Gibsons. I dunno I'm still not sure.
woops, I kind of misspoke here. I edited it afterwards so it doesn't make any sense. I meant I could get a Greco LP cheaper than a Jag or Mustang. A jagmaster would definitely still be cheaper.mage wrote:true true, my original plan was the jagmaster. I'm just thinking, I can get this for less though and it's something a little different than what I have.
