Ooo, I need to urine-cure my guard to make it look like that, CAUSE JAGS AIN'T MADE FOR AMBER SWITCHTIPZ.
Seriously, I played that guitar all over yesterday, lovely little thing she is.

Player that made me want a jaguar most would probably be Sterling Morrison.
But I'm sure that picture would be impossible to find.

Nobody really. I just thought they were cool and different. But, Tad Doyle reinforced my GAS for a Jaguar. On the first 2 Tad albums (God's Balls, and 8 Way Santa), his axe of choice was a Jag. What a raw sound!.

Hey Gaybear I see you post all the time, but I've never your gear, I've just been curious to what you use. Although I'm sure you've posted it before.

Come on Gabe, we want to your gear. We want to all your gear.
Why won't you let us your gear?

No Problem. Yeah I know. In recent times he's been playing the Jazzmaster again. But according to a shortie Guitar World interview I read in the 90s (complete with a photo of him slinging a Jaguar), it was a Jaguar (with Seymour Duncan Quarter Pounders in it) that he used for the first two albums. Grrr! I can't find any info online supporting this. Maybe I'm wrong. If so, sorry about that.
BTW, for those interested in it. Tad's in a new group called Brothers of the Sonic Cloth.
Thanks. I STILL think Jags are cool. AND, from what I read today before I left for work, it sounds like some of the problems I had with the 1989 or 90 MIJ Jag I owned back in 1990, may have been setup related. I used roundwound 9s or 10s for strings. Jags really play better with 11s or better yet 12s. Also, the bridge on the Jag was designed for flatwound strings - not roundwounds. I'll have to wait and see if the Jag I mentioned in my "Need Some Advice on Shortscale Guitars" thread pans out. It would give me resolution of my refund hassle, and score me a cool guitar to boot.
