You're only about 3 hours from me. This is very very possible, in fact extremely likely, with sufficient motivation. Which in this case I'd be highly motivated to do so.hotrodperlmutter wrote:well, see, that would require you actually meet up with me.

Since this is your first foray into shortscale guitars, I would recommend Squiers. The quality has been much improved lately, especially the Classic Vibe series, and very easy to come by. If you are more interested in Jaguar style guitar, the Squier Jagmaster is an excellent choice and very solid player. It's also great for customizing. If a Mustang style guitar is more to your fancy, the CV Duo Sonic is a great choice. There have been so quality issues with some of the switches, but they a great sounding guitar. I have both guitars and you can't beat them for the money.

I'd just straight up second the Jagmaster. These are avail at Guitar Center, so really the best bet is to go up there and try playing one. The Jagmaster seems to feel the best to me despite having to play it upside down. They are super cheap, too.

Yeah people talk about how the Vista series Jagmasters are amazing, but I have one of the current series and it's pretty ace too. A friend who plays some shortscales used mine at a gig and said he much preferred it to his Fender Mustang, and now he's decided to buy one himself.taylornutt wrote:Since this is your first foray into shortscale guitars, I would recommend Squiers. The Vista Series guitars are amazing. The necks on them are as good as any American Fender out there. I had a Vista Series neck and tried to put it on a current Jagmaster, but current Jagmasters are 25.5" scale bodies with special 24" conversion necks. I wish I still had that vista neck.Freddy V-C wrote:Yeah people talk about how the Vista series Jagmasters are amazing, but I have one of the current series and it's pretty ace too.
