I remember when I stepped on mine and smashed the screen. Had to wait for a while because I couldn't get it fixed where I was! Torture!

Oh and if you do try it out, there are 8 audio examples to run through the gear but you can get your own in there. Just import a song like normal, but then hold the play button until the timer turns grey. At that point the track will get routed through the gear.

I'm on the preorder list. In all eventuality will get the iRig before an iPhone, but my brother in law has an iPod Touch

Nice. The app itself looks tidy and easy to use, should be good.

Any ideas on how this could be done hands-free? If playing to backing tracks, I think it would be amazing to set points in the song where the effects switch FOR you however you decide... That would be difficult and the devs would cringe reading it, but that's the kind of thing that I think would be very cool but I've also wanted to have StealthPedal plugged into the dock connector which I'd think would be even more difficult :)

That's a really good idea. Have different color markers or something to plant throughout the song. I have the free version until I can get the whole adaptor set up and what not, but playing around with it is very impressive.

I would think that a person playing a solo/duo kind of gig with backing tracks (I see this all the time at the local bookstore and such) would kill for that sort of thing.

Note that playalong type of tasks won't work even with multitasking - tried iPod and Pandora with iOS 4 and it will not allow both audio streams open at the same time at this point.
