Yeah an upper horn control plate would be sweet.

You'd tape over the unused slots cause that'd look badass.

so i did some sanding today, rounded the edges of the guitar, and routed out the neck pocket..
i did a kind of shitty job on the neck pocket, but i got it in right, and straight, so.. i'll need to put in a bit of wood filler but for now, i'm ok with it.

def needs a custom guard.

Definitely really liking the ones haze did with the angled PU's and control plate. The guitars that the design references are clear, but it still looks new / original.

Can't lie, I kind of want one.

The straightness (flatness?) of the lower outline from the lower waist on forwards just absolutely kicks ass. If that makes sense. Christ. Eyes immediately drawn there, I must've missed that part of the design in the earlier mockups.

nah that was a slight error on my part when power sanding the body, i actually want it a bit more rounded, but the nice angle is kind of drawing to me, and since i'm now going to custom make the pickguard, should make it a lot easier to do that as well.

DUDE! Sorry to bump this, but this may be the sexiest guitar ever... It has the potential.
What type of neck you gonna use? You still working on it?

i'm going to be using a CV duo neck on it, i'm still working on it slowly, very very slowly.

yes, I agree. I like that part. it makes me wish the top part got done the same way though.

i'm actually really not pleased with the lower horn, i want it more curved but the wood to curve it is gone now. i may end up selling this body and making another one.
i also misrouted the neck pocket, so last weekend i filled in the screw holes and double checked the route, it need to move up about 1/16" for the neck to be straight on the body.

lots of learning is taking place though, so that is good.

if the neck pocket is bad enough that you cant get the neck straight would it even be worth anyone buying?

i loathe back routing. plus with a jazzmaster trem i just don't think i'd dig how it looks.

i'm going to finish this one all the way through before i start on a second body.
this could take until next summer.
