If I am lucky, maybe the neck is just really dirty and needs a good bath.

I have taken stock of what I still need to get to completely finish the guitar
String Tree
Pickup mounting screws and springs
Strap Locks
F Neck Plate
F Tuners
I would love to get the Mustang RI tuners but they are difficult to find in a set and they are usually too expensive to buy 6 individual tuners. So I will probably go with the chrome 70's F Tuners RI from Schaller. I will check eBay, Allparts and GuitarPartsResource for the best deal. I hope to have everything here when the neck gets here so I can start assembling ASAP.

Check angela's website and ebay page. Ebay prices for Angela are usually a few bucks less. I bet I have a string tree and screws/springs for pickup mounting. It'd be silly to pay for some. If you buy a f neck plate it will come with screws too, at least the on I bought from Angela did

I think my black Mustang covers came from there. I am going to check Guitar Center to see if they have any of this but I am not holding my breath. You mentioned the neck screws you had were for the thinner bodied student model guitars. Can you buy a F neck plate with the shorter screws?
I found the F tuners and F neck plate on Angela. I will probably order those today.

Updated List
Strap Locks
F Neck Plate with screws
F Tuners
String Tree
Pickup mounting screws and springs
I ordered the tuners and neck plate today. Haze, are you still going to send the pickup mounting screws and string tree with the harness? Just checking based on your post earlier.
If so, I should be able to assemble this bad boy once everything arrives.

Screws/springs and a string tree will go out with your harness.

You are a life saver. I know those aren't expensive, but I was lucky to have enough money to finish this guitar. That neck deal was a God-send or I wouldn't have been able to do it. My wife has been very understanding and since I had to sell my Squiers to help my parents out, there went my guitar money. Anyway, I really appreciate all the help on this one, Haze.

As I've said, I respect you and how you enjoy building the instruments you play to male music that makes you happy. Is a rare thing and I'm always willing to help friends. Plus I went through restoring a vintage musicmaster on a skint budget as well and I know how that one last detail can hold things up.

Since I am waiting for everything to come in the mail, I decided to check the output of the Mustang pickup. The multimeter read
5.67k
What is typical output of Mustang style pickups?

I should get the 70's F Tuners and F neck plate today. The neck should have gone out yesterday and be here by tomorrow. Of course after I bought the tuners, I found a couple of places to buy the RI Mustang tuners. Hope to start assembling the guitar on Saturday.
Haze, did you already send the harness?

So I bought the tuners and neck plate from the same seller on eBay, but the tuners arrived today and the neck plate is still in transit. Seems kinda dumb on the seller's part to waste money on two separate shipping boxes.

The photos of the harness look very cool. I am very stoked to get it.
Does your Musicmaster have the Treble bleed circuit? I know you bought a prewired vintage harness, so I didn't know if you added it later. Got the tuners yesterday. I am getting the neck and neck plate today and I am definitely itching to put it all together. Taking Friday off to do some errands but I will start putting together as well. I plan to photograph all the parts for final assembly. I really want to get a hold of that neck to see what condition it's in.
The neck appeared to have the original tuner bushings in the photo.
Should I leave those vintage bushings in or replace them with the new ones that came with the tuners? (assuming they fit)

I am bummed. The neck didn't show up and the seller sent a message asking if it arrived so I am not sure when it will get here. The neck plate has not showed up and it went out the same day as the tuners and never arrived. I contacted Angelas about it and hopefully they can get back to me soon.
