Did Kroeger commission them to build a guitar that's as fucking ugly and douchey as he is? If so, Bravo Gibson....the design brief was fulfilled admirably.

Totally agree.
Whilst i'm not against an artist having a sig model i dont really see much point in sig models, unless as i have said before you play in a 'tribute' band and happen to have money to burn.
When i played guitar for the esSex Pistols i used either a cream Tokai Love Rock or a white Westfield Les Paul. Both were cheap, looked the part and got me the sound.
And this can only mean you have a picture of yourself rocking out in a string vest with a hanky on your head. POST PICS!
Here Dave..

I did have the 'string vest' mohair jumper specially made but i cant find any pics now. Also had the PVC and leather trousers, and beetle crusher shoes like Steve wore occasionally.
In these pics there is a Gibson LP Junior, Burny Les Paul and Tokai Les Paul.

When Neil was on bass it was a mint band, very aggressive though. He broke some guys arm fighting at one gig and the manager asked him to quit. When we got the new bass player it went a bit dull, the manager wanted to go all pro and asked me to stop wearing the swastika 'Destroy' shirt and stop spitting at the audience.

Why doesn't anyone build a new guitar from the ground up anymore? I want new shapes.

They do, just NOT Gibson or Fender. They would rather rest on their laurels and re-hash the same stuff periodically.
But when you consider both companies own most of the other 'leading brands' why would they?
What the fuck? Why'd Gibson choose a name associated with so much negative press?

lack of foresight?
That'd be my guess...
THOUGH I wouldn't be surprised if this clown had some kind of religious connection, Blackwater is a fairly obvious compound term. It's not like they called it the Gibson Auschwitz, or anything.

Meh all well. I can't help it that my ears find Nickelback songs pleasing.
you're trapped in a room with nickelback and creed, and you only have enough ammo to kill one band. what do you do?
shoot my way out trough the door, then come back with bigger guns and more ammo

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHA
true story, my buddy convinced me that going to red deer to party would be a good idea, at the "higher class" bar, they had tv screens all over the place playing "how you remind me" and people were loving it

i grew up there, they have a "higher class" bar?
but yeah, i swear almost no one in that town/city likes music.
*full disclosure i also dj'd at the catwalk for 4 years, but they would only let me spin freely on wednesdays (to much punk/metal) and on weekends when i agreed to not play slayer in the dance bar.

there are the two bars side by side in a parking lot(one looks like a damn bowling alley inside), and then another about a block away that has tv's everywhere, google fails me but it was a few years ago anyways so it has probably changed hands a few times. awful music and most of the girls were from calgary anyways
in regards to the guitar, if chad kroeger is the most versatile rock artist...well...
