$700 for MIJ in my neighborhood, in good condition. So yes, $300 sounds amazing but highly unrealistic if we have to import them ourselves from Asia.Ankhanu wrote:Yeah, certainly not in my area. I've only ever seen one Mustang for sale here, it was new, and significantly more than $500Nick wrote:Although my local shop usually sells used MIJ Mustangs for like $500....I know that's not the case for everyone's area though. If these are around $300ish I think they'd be a good bargain.

hahaha yeah I realized how that looked when I typed it....but I stand by my statement. Boring played to death colors on strats and teles look awesome on short scales.paul_ wrote:I lol'd.Nick wrote:Am I the only one slightly disappointed by these boring mustang/squier CV series colors now? I don't think it would be possible for them to fuck with the trem on a mustang, since is has to be the vibrato plate has to surround the bridge.serfx wrote:^thisDannymec wrote:Looks like I need to start selling things again!
as it looks like they didn't fuck up the trem/tail piece like they did the Squier jag/jazz versions
you say that, but look at the stop tail on the Pawn Shop "Mustang" Special..weed_killer wrote:I don't think it would be possible for them to fuck with the trem on a mustang, since is has to be the vibrato plate has to surround the bridge.serfx wrote:^thisDannymec wrote:Looks like I need to start selling things again!

i would like to have a sunbrust mustang with maple neck. that would be something.Nick wrote:hahaha yeah I realized how that looked when I typed it....but I stand by my statement. I'd take one of those three colors on a mustang over the standard red/baby blue/oly white varieties any day. (though I might change the pickguards on the two on the right)
glad I didn't read the full thread then. I'm not going to complain about fender though given all the shortscale & offset goodness they have delivered recently. Compared to 5 years ago its amazing what options are available. In fact compared to when I first wanted one back in the late 80s the only choice was trying to locate a used one which in the UK was nigh on impossible. so I won't grumble, promiseMooseboy wrote:Just received an email from Fender saying the classic vibe mustangs on the japanese Fender site are for the Japanese market only
